ESAS/EASITrain Summer School on Applied Superconductivity

April 27, 2018 (A411)We are pleased to announce the ESAS/EASITrain Summer School on Applied Superconductivity to be held at TU Wien, Vienna, Austria, September 3-7, 2018.

The school is organized within the frame of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Innovative Training Network EASITrain.
Eminent researchers in the field of superconductivity including Nobel laureate Georg Bednorz will give lectures on important aspects of applied superconductivity:

• Fundamentals of LTS and HTS
• Materials: cuprate and iron superconductors, LTS, MgB2.
• Films, wires and tapes
• AC losses
• Magnets/high field application
• Superconducting devices

The school is targeting PhD students or other early stage researchers.
The application for the school is open until August 1st, 2018.
The school will be preceded by the Coated Conductors for Applications 2018 workshop (https://cca2018.org/).
