Development of superconducting radiation

detectors for astrophysical research: transition edge sensors and kinetic inductance detectors (direct detectors) and hot-electron bolometers (coherent detectors).  The fundamental physics of the superconducting thin films involved in these detectors, their performance characteristics and device optimization.
